Well, it's proportions, is over of so 24, is the is so that goes on top, 60 is the of that goes on the bottom, You dont know the percent yet, so its x over 100. you multiply x to 60 and you get 60x, then you multiply 24 to 100 and get 2400. you divide 60x to each side, when you didvide 60x to 60x it cancels out. when you divide 60x to 2400, you get 40. you divide it by 100 and you get the decimal 0.4. then you want to times it by 100 again and you get 40. so the answer is 40%

stealth61 [152]

Answer:

(6, -2)

Step-by-step explanation:

The midpoint of the segment RS is point M (5, 3). Therefore, the average of the x coordinates of R and S is 5, and the average of the y coordinates of R and S is 3. The x coordinate of R is 4. For 4 and the x coordinate of S to have an average of 5, the x coordinate of S must be 6. Therefore, our point is of the form (6, y). For 8 and the y coordinate of S to have an average of 3, the y coordinate of S must be -2. Therefore, our answer is (6, -2)

2/5 - 1/3 (simplified if possible)
Kipish [7]

Answer:

1/15

Step-by-step explanation:

(1). Multiply both the numerator and denominator of each fraction by the number that makes its denominator equal the LCD (Least Common Denominator).

So lets do step one now, the LCD is 15 so we have to make both denominators agree on one number, so 15 is the number both denominators agree on.

Solve:

2*3/5*3 - 1*5/3*5

(2). Complete the multiplication.

6/15 - 5/15

(3). The two fractions now have like denominators so you can subtract the numerators.

6 - 5 / 15 - 15 = 1/15

*Pro tip:

The denominator doesn't change and stays the same. So you don't

subtract the 15 by 15.

(4). Then you'll get the answer and then if you can simplify then simplify.

The Answer is 1/15, and cannot be simplified.

So the answer is 1/15

Hope this helps!

Find the least of two consecutive odd integers whose sum is 188
REY [17]
The reason the 2nd number is plus two because you start with a odd number like 3 so to get the next odd number you have to add 2 get it.
X+X+2=188
2x+2=188
Subtract 2
2x= 186
Divide by 2
X= 93
Numbers are 93,95

Check 93+95=188
