Find the least of two consecutive odd integers whose sum is 188

Mathematics

REY [17]3 years ago

The reason the 2nd number is plus two because you start with a odd number like 3 so to get the next odd number you have to add 2 get it.
X+X+2=188
2x+2=188
Subtract 2
2x= 186
Divide by 2
X= 93
Numbers are 93,95

Check 93+95=188

MARKING BRANLIEST!! PLEASE HELP!!! what are the x-intercepts of the quadratic function y=x^2-3x+2
enot [183]
X-intercepts are points where the graph intersects the x-axis, i.e. when y=0.

Substitute y=0 and solve for x:
y=x^2-3x+2
0=x^2-3x+2
0=(x-2)(x-1)

By the zero product property, we deduce x-2=0 or x-1=0, i.e. x=1 or x=2.
