So you have to put them in order: 22 38 44 59 70 79 85 87 96. The median is 70 so that means that Q2 is 70

<h2>Answer:</h2>

The Q_2 for Mrs. Johnson's first test is:

                                 70

<h2>Step-by-step explanation:</h2>

The data that represent Mrs. Johnson first test data is:

       59, 22, 87, 44, 96, 38, 70, 85, 79.

We firstly arrange the given data in the increasing order or ascending order as follows:

        22    38      44     59     70    79     85     87      96

We know that the median of the data is the central tendency of the data and always exist in the middle of the data.

Hence, here by looking at the data we see that the number that exist in the middle of data is:

                               70

The median of the data is:

                      70

Solve 4 over x minus 4 equals the quantity of x over x minus 4, minus four thirds for x and determine if the solution is extrane
Vinil7 [7]
I'm thinking this is what the problem looks like: \frac{4}{x-4}= \frac{x}{x-4}- \frac{4}{3}.  The first thing to do is to move the \frac{x}{x-4} over to the other side because it has a common denominator with the other side.  Doing that and at the same time combining them over their common denominator looks like this: \frac{4-x}{x-4}= -\frac{4}{3}.  The best way to solve for x now is to cross-multiply to get 3(4-x)=-4(x-4).  Distributing through the parenthesis is 12 - 3x = -4x + 16.  Solving for x gives us x = 4.  Of course when we sub a 4 back in for x we get real problems, don't we?  Dividing by zero breaks every rule in math that there ever was! So, yes, the solution is extraneous.

A ship travels 62.5 km in 1st hour of sailing. Starting from 2nd hour, the distance travelled per hour is x% of that in the prec
Bas_tet [7]
Speed of the ship in the second hour =  (62.5 * x ) / 100  kph.

In third hour it is  [(62 * x) / 100 ] * x/100]

is 4th hour its is the above * x/100 again  so we can now form the equation

62.5x      x          x
------- *   ----  *  ----    =  32
100      100      100

62,5 x^3 = 32,000,000
x^3 =  512,000
x = 80 <-----  Answer  to (a)

(b)  Ship travels 62.5 in first hour then  this falls by a common ratio of 0.8 each hour so we have a geometric sequence

Dist travelled in 6 hours  =  a1  1 - r^n
                                                --------  = 62.5* (1 - 0.8^6) / 1 -0.8 = 230.56

                                               1 - r

Answer is    230.56 km

if 2/3 of the girls in class have brown eyes and 1/4 of the girls have blue eyes, what fraction of the girls in class have neith
Crank
2/3 + 1/4. You start by converting the fractions so that they have a common denominator.
8/12 + 3/12 = 11/12
11/12 of the girls have blue and brown eyes. That leaves 1/12 of the girls who have neither blue nor brown eyes.

The function N(X) = 90(0.86)* + 69 can be used to predict the temperature of a
dezoksy [38]

Answer: -8.93

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the function:

N(X) = 90(0.86)^x+ 69

X in the interval [0, 6]

For X = 0

N(0) = 90(0.86)^0 + 69

90 + 69 = 159

For X = 6

N(6) = 90(0.86)^6 + 69

90(0.404567235136) + 69

= 105.41105116224

Therefore, average change of change in temperature ;

(temp 2 - temp 1) / ( time 2 - time)

(105.41105116224 - 159) / (6 - 0)

= - 53.58894883776 / 6

= - 8.93149147296

= - 8.93
