<span>A motif is a symbolic element that appears repeatedly in a particular story. It's sort of like a theme, but it's a symbol instead of a message. Like in Harry Potter, for example, his lack of true parents is a motif for him feeling lonely, which is a message that occurs throughout the books even though he is famous.
So the answer is C. Motif.

Lostsunrise [7]
I've actually mastered memorizing the Gettysburg address in 7th grade and now I'm going to 8th grade and the tone that Abraham Lincoln used as he read his speech was a calm but serious tone. In his speech(mid half of his speech) he said " we are met on a great battlefield of that war. " and "we have come to dedicate a portion of that field as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that, that nation might live" you notice that his tone in those two main parts are calm and serious. This also applies to the rest of the speech. Lincoln's speech is one of the greatest speech of all times because his speech was a message to the soldier's both from the Union and Confederates side who fought in Gettysburg. I hope this message answers your question.

Mrac [35]

Answer: C. suggesting that the appearance of the ghost predicts problems to come

Explanation:

Horatio´s words to Marcellus reflect his fear that the ghost might be an omen of something bad happening in the future.

Bernardo and Marcellus urge Horatio to stay with them so he can see the ghost of Hamlet himself. After Horatio sees the ghost, he claims that, despite not understanding what´s happening, he believes that the ghostly presence can only mean something bad is going to happen.
