Social media has affected globalization by people connecting with each other from a long distance. For example, Facebook can help family members and friends can see part of each other's lives. Social media is another way to help people connect with each other and communicate. There are many different forms of social media, but they all do the same part: seeing each person's lives and spreading news to people. In my life, I can use social media to communicate with each other friends or family members to see how their lives are. Social media can also be used for people to be happy, like good quotes or things people like. Social media can be used all over the world, to help people in many different forms, and some of are what I listed earlier. In the past, communication was very hard. People can only send letters, and it can take weeks, or months to arrive just to ask a simple question. As technology grow and expand, social media can help to share everyone all over the world at an instant rate. By using social media, friends and family members can connect with each other a lot quicker.

"Trade has some relation to forms of government. In a monarchy, it is generally founded on luxury; and though it be also founded
eduard

Answer:

The statement is describing the usual difference in trade policy that exists between monarchies and republics.

Explanation:

The excerpt comes from the Spirit of the Laws, by Montesquieu, who was a French philosopher who promoted republicanism and liberalism.

In the text, Montesqueiu is explaining than in monarchies, trade is very restricted, and is usually only allowed for luxury goods like perfums, spices, or silk clothes, because these goods are used by the nobility as a symbol of their power and status.

In monarchies, for the rest of the population, trade is restricted. The common people therefore cannot access goods from abroad, or can only do so at a very high cost.

In republics, Montesquieu says, trade tends to be more open. Merchants become the ones who do most of the trade, guided by their economic ideas. The merchants therefore obtain many goods from abroad, that both the nobility and the commoner can acquire for a lower price.

In conclusion, Montesquieu is using the argument for trade as another reason to support republics over monarchies.
