times as many books as Bryan in a month. In 4 months the number of books Amanda reads is equal to 5/8 the sum of the number of books Bryan and Colin read in 4 months. How many books does each person read each month?

C=3b-4. A=5/8x4 = b+cx4
If Brian read let's say 3 books a month then amanda reads 6 and Collin reads 5
So the answer would be B= Brian's books. A= Amanda's books and c= Collins books
So a=2xb
B=b
C=(3b)-4
If there is a variable term and a constant on each side of the equation, then you will need to use the addition or subtraction property of equality once to isolate the variable term and once to isolate the constant.
