Do dna primers help add bases to the lagging strand

A primer is a short strand of RNA or DNA(generally about 18-22 bases) that serves as a starting point for DNA synthesis. It is required for DNA replication because the enzymes that catalyze this process, DNA polymerases, can only add new nucleotides to an existing strand of DNA. The polymerase starts replication at the 3′-end of the primer, and copies the opposite strand.

In vivo DNA replication utilizes short strands of RNA called RNA primers to initiate DNA synthesis on both the leading and lagging strands – DNA primers are not seen in vivo in humans. These RNA primers can be made de novo.

On the other hand, many of the in vitro laboratory techniques that involve DNA polymerase in biochemistry and molecular biology (such as DNA sequencing and the polymerase chain reaction), use DNA primers because they are more temperature stable. In experiments, it is often important to use a primer with a similar Tm (melting temperature) to the template strand it will be hybridizing to. A primer with a Tm significantly higher than the reaction's annealing temperature may mishybridize and extend at an incorrect location along the DNA sequence, while one with a Tm significantly lower than the annealing temperature may fail to anneal and extend at all. These primers are usually short, chemically synthesizedoligonucleotides, with a length of about twenty bases. They are hybridized to a target DNA, which is then copied by the polymerase.

What is the formula for fermentation
Travka [436]
I'm assuming this is from sugar and you're looking for the production of ethanol:
C6H1206(glucose) into 2 of C2H60 (ethanol) and  2 of CO2 (carbon dioxide).

Depending on what you are fermenting as the carbon source, the reaction looks quite different than that.

The decline of mpf activity at the end of mitosis is due to
raketka [301]

Answer:

Please read explanation section.

Explanation:

MPF is a protein kinase. It catalyzes the transfer of a phosphate group from ATP to target proteins.

One of the pathways which are stimulated by the MPF is an enzyme that destroys cyclin. This means it stimulates the cyclin pathway. As mitosis gets initiated, the enzyme that breaks down cyclin becomes activated, and levels of cyclin start to be dropping down. The declining levels of cyclin lead to reduced levels of the MPF.

Percussing at the right midclavicular line, below the umbilicus, and continuing upward is the correct technique for locating the
olga55 [171]

Answer:

Lower liver border.

Explanation:

The liver is in the upper right side of the abdomen, above it is the diaphragm, beneath is the right kidney, the stomach, and the intestine. If we position our hands on the right clavicular line and bellow the umbilicus, as we move them, we will be able to locate the liber when we arrive at the upper right side of the abdomen and feel if there is any problem.
