Answer:

A) Like MLB with steroids, NASCAR fears that if they don’t act to prevent the use of illegal substances, the federal government will step in and regulate their league.

Explanation:

Steroid use became widespread in MLB and the league decided to do nothing about it until Congress started their own investigation in 2005, decades after mass use of steroids was made public in books and other investigations. Congress used the 1950s investigation of television quiz shows as precedent for their baseball investigation.

Using altered fuel would be an equivalent of car steroids, and Nascar was afraid of being investigated about it.

Genie Software Inc. has been operating in the country of Jamtland for almost a decade. The nation is currently experiencing an e
Gwar [14]

Answer:

Genie will have better access to highly skilled human capital at a lower cost.

Explanation:

During times of economic downturn, the rate of unemployment rises due to reduced production by firms in the economy. When the economy slows down, consumption drops, leading to reduced demand for goods and services. A reduction in demand forces organizations to cut down production,  and consequently laying off workers.

Service and manufacturing industries do not create employment opportunities during economic downturns. As a result, college graduates cannot find jobs, which increases unemployment. An increase in unemployment and a low supply of jobs leads to a reduction in wage rates. Genie software will, therefore, be able to find highly qualified employees at a lower cost during times of economic downturns.

The Ring Division of A1d-Y6z Company reported the following information for May: selling price per unit .................... $35
Travka [436]

Answer:

52,000 units

Explanation:

Selling price = $35*40,000 = $1,400,000

Variable cost = $12 * 40,000 = $480,000

Contribution margin = $1,400,000 - $480,000 = $920,000

Fixed cost = Residual income + Contribution

Fixed cost = $920,000 - $229,600

Fixed cost = $690,400

Sales to earn residual income = [Fixed cost + Desired profit] / Contribution per unit

Sales to earn residual income = [$690,400 + $505,600] / $35 - $12

Sales to earn residual income = $1,196,000 / $23

Sales to earn residual income = 52,000 units
