The Old Grey Donkey, Eeyore, stood by himself in a thistly corner of the forest, his front feet well apart, his head on one side

, and thought about things. Sometimes he thought sadly to himself, "Why?" and sometimes he thought, "Wherefore?" and sometimes he thought, "Inasmuch as which?"—and sometimes he didn't quite know what he was thinking about. So when Winnie-the-Pooh came stumping along, Eeyore was very glad to be able to stop thinking for a little, in order to say "How do you do?" in a gloomy manner to him. Which statement describes Eeyore's character based on the characterization in the excerpt? Eeyore is sad and doesn't know why. Eeyore has been waiting for Winnie-the-Pooh. Eeyore is the smartest donkey in the forrest. Eeyore is irritated when his thinking is interrupted.

Eeyore is depressed and sad. Hes not a happy being all by himself. He wonders too much. The wondering stops when he talks to someone else. Eeyore just isn't a happy donkey.

Part A
Karolina [17]

Answer:

Part A: C

Part B: B

Explanation:

Whitman varies the meter of his poem, while Longfellow, for the most part, does not.  The supporting lines in Part B would be those demonstrating lack of the meter in Whitman's poem, which are 4-6.
