An equilateral triangle has equal sides

so if you divide the perimeter by 3 you would get the length for all of the sides

21/3 = 7

since it said it was decreased by 3 inches you add 3 inches back

7 + 3 = 10

so the original length of one side of the triangle is 10 inches

If a circle has a radius of 16,and an arc length of 12x, what is the angle measure of the central angle that matches that arc?
GREYUIT [131]

Answer:

135°

Step-by-step explanation:

Using S = rA, where S is arc length, r is radius and A is angle(in radians).

Comparing:

=> 12 = 16A

=> 12/16 = A

=> 3/4 = A

Required radian is 3/4 which is 3/4 * 180° = 135°

An equilateral triangle and a square both have perimeters of 48 inches. what is the ratio of the length of the side of the trian
labwork [276]
A square with a perimeter of 48 inches would have 12 in sides, while a triangle of the same perimeter would have 16 in sides. The ratio would be 16/12 which simplified to 4/3.
