Answer:

This is the most random essay prompt I've ever seen, your teacher must be very strange haha

Letter:

Dear ___'s Dad,

I am writing to you about your skin allergy. I have many questions about your allergy, and I hope you are able to answer them. What causes your allergic reactions? Is it a chemical, or a certain type of food? Does ingesting the food give you a different reaction than if you touch the food with your skin? What are the symptoms of your allergy? Do you get itchy, or swelling? Do you get hives? Also, how do you prevent your skin allergy from happening? Is there some sort of medication? Thank you very much. I hope you are able to answer my questions.

Sincerely,

(your name)

Setler79 [48]

Answer:

What are eponyms and how can you use them to find codes in the Alphabetic Index of the CPT? Provide an example

They are the disease, anatomical structure, clinical signs, syndromes, surgeries or technique whose name comes from that of the person who discovered or described it for the first time.

The CPT has a section of eponimos whereby the search is limited to finding the object of interest in that section.

An example of an eponym is Addsion keloid

Which method of finding a main term in the Alphabetic Index do you find easiest to use? Explain why.

The keyword because it allows you to find all the information related to the topic of interest

6 True or False: 24 hours awake has the same effect as .1 blood alcohol level.
Tom [10]
The statement which states that twenty four hours awake has the same effect as 0.10 blood alcohol level is true. Scientific research have shown that sleep deprivation performance is similar to being under the influence of alcohol. It has been shown through research study that been awake for complete 24 hours make one to behave exactly like an individual who has 0.10 percent of alcohol in his blood.

If you were to try and pair a thymine with a cytosine (a non Watson-Crick base pairing), then would you expect to see any stabil
jeyben [28]

Answer:

D. Yes, two hydrogen bonds could form between thymine and cytosine.

Explanation:

A hydrogen bond (often informally abbreviated H -bond) is a primarily electrostatic force of attraction between a hydrogen (H) atom which is covalently bound to a more electronegative atom or group, particularly the second-row elements nitrogen (N), oxygen (O), or fluorine (F)—the hydrogen bond donor (Dn)—and another electronegative atom bearing a lone pair of electrons—the hydrogen bond acceptor (Ac).

The formation of stable hydrogen bonds depends on the distance between two strands, the size of the bases and geometry of each base. Stable pairings occur between guanine and cytosine and between adenine and thymine (or adenine and uracil in RNA).

One hydrogen bond could form between the C4 carbonyl group on thymine (a hydrogen bond acceptor) and the C4 amino group on cytosine (a hydrogen bond donor). Another hydrogen bond could form between N3 of thymine (a hydrogen bond donor) and the N3 of cytosine (a hydrogen bond acceptor). Note that the C2 carbonyl groups found on both bases are both hydrogen bond acceptors and therefore a hydrogen bond cannot be formed between them.
