Answer: Simple Interest earned during 10 years = 25000 * 7% * 10

=(250*7*10)

= 17500

<em>Total Value of investment </em>= 17500 + 25000 = 42500

Explanation:

(1) For finding <em>the total value of the investment in 10 years, </em>we have to first compute the simple interest earned for 10 years i.e. the investment time period. The formula of  calculating Simple Interest is as follows-

Value Invested * Interest Rate * Time period of investment

Applying the simple interest formula we will get the value of simple interest as shown in the answer above.

(2) Lastly, we have to add Value invested in the beginning and the Simple Interest earned during the 10 years for finding <em>the total value of the investment in 10 years </em>i.e.

<em>Total Value of investment = Value invested in the beginning + Simple Interest Earned during the investment period (10 years in this case)</em>

Lists two things that both increase the money supply?
DENIUS [597]

Answer:

Decrease is taxes

Increase in government spending

Explanation:

Government policies that increases the money supply in an economy is known as expansionary fiscal policy. They are:

1. Decrease is taxes - when government reduces the tax rate, the amount paid as taxes falls and as a result individuals, companies have higher disposable income whuch can be used for consumption or saving. This increases the money supply in the economy.

2. Increase in government spending - if the government increases it's spending on public goods for example, money supply would increase. If the government constructs a road, labour would be employed and paid wages. This payment increases the income of Labour and money supply increases.

Central bank policies that increases money supply are known as expansionary monetary policies. They include:

1. Open market purchase: The central bank purchase securities from the open market to increase money supply.

2. Reduction in reserve requirement ratio : if the reserve requirement ratio is reduced , commercial banks would have more money to give out as loans and this would increase money supply.

Quickbrush Paint Company is developing a linear program to determine the optimal quantities of ingredient A and ingredient B to
Sonbull [250]

Answer:

A. 0.9x + 0.3y ≤ 10,000

Explanation:

Given

x \to oil based plant

y \to water based plant

The data can be represented in tabular form as:

\begin{array}{ccc}{} & {A} & {B}  & {x} & {90\%} & {10\%}  & {y} & {30\%} & {70\%} & {} & {10000} & {5000}\ \end{array}

Considering only A, we have the following constraints:

A \to 90\% * x + 30\% * y

A \to 0.9x + 0.3y

Since the company currently has 10000 of A.

The above constraint implies that, the mixture cannot exceed 10000.

So, we have:

A \to 0.9x + 0.3y \le 10000

<em>Hence, (A) is correct</em>
