Story Problem: The fluid taken from flower by group of moth is 0.25 ml and Another group of butterfly extracting honey from flower is 1.20 ml.Find the total amount of nectar extracted from flower.

Solution: Fluid taken from flower by group of moth =0.25 ml

Nectar extracted from flower by butterfly=1.20 ml

Total nectar extracted from flower= 0.25 × 1.20

=0.25×(1+0.2)

=0.25×1+0.25×0.2→→→ [Using Distributive law of addition i.e ,a×(b+c)=a×b+a×c]

=0.25+0.05

= 0.300 ml
