Answer:

Vibrations of the auditory ossicles are transmitted to the cochlea via the oval window.

Explanation:

The oval window is a membranous structure that communicates the middle ear with the cochlea of the inner ear, is attached to the stirrup and receives its vibrations from it. The sound waves spread through the air and reach the outer ear, into which they penetrate through the ear canal. In doing so, they stimulate the eardrum, which closes the inner end of the duct. By vibrating this membrane, the vibration of a chain of ossicles located in the middle ear is induced. These ossicles transmit their vibration to the oval window.

a mouse’s tail gets cut off. if the mouse has babies later, how will this affect the length of the tails of its offspring? it de
Yakvenalex [24]

The correct answer is that it will not affect the length of the tails of any of the offspring.

The modification in the tail of the mouse was not because of its genes, rather, it was because of the environment. The correct answer is that it will not affect the length of the tails of any of the offspring.

The modification in the tail of the mouse was not because of its genes, rather, it was because of the environment. The passing of the traits from the parents to the offspring is known as heredity, and the offspring attain the genetic information of their parents. Thus, the mouse will pass on only the features present in its genes to its offspring.

Which statementbest describes the influence that parents have on whether or not offspring inherit a genetically inherited trait?
umka21 [38]

Each parent contributes one allele describes the influence that parents have on whether or not offspring inherit a genetically inherited trait.

Explanation:

Allele is a form of gene present on the chromosome. Human have 2 alleles for a trait on a chromosome. Each parent contributes one of its allele to the progeny. The alleles for the gene are present on the same locus of chromosomes.

The alleles are either dominant or recessive. The contribution of alleles and the expression of trait decide the alleles of offspring.

The phenotype is determined by the allele expressed as short or tall and human ABO blood type.

An allele is sequence of DNA. The organism having two same alleles are homozygous and having two different alleles are heterozygous.

Why would a doctor suggest converging lenses to correct a patient’s vision?
aksik [14]

A converging lens focuses the diverging, or blurred, light rays from a distant object by refracting (bending) the rays twice. ... This double bending causes the rays to converge at a focal point behind the lens so that a sharper image can be seen or photographed.
(Thus making the vision clear)
