Length of the the Large Hadron Collider = 27 km = 27\times 10^{12}nm

1 km = 10^3 m

1 m = 10^9 nm

Number of  wavelengths of red light when it passes from one end of the collider to the other:

\frac{27\times 10^{12} nm}{650 nm}=4.15\times 10^{10}
