Answer:

40 students picked bananas

Step-by-step explanation:

3/4 picked apples

1 - 3/4 = 1/4 picked bananas

3/4x = 120

Multiply both sides of the equation by 4/3

4/3 * (3/4x) = 120/1 * (4/3)

x = 480/3

x = 160

                                               Total of 160 students

                                               /                                   \

                                   120 = apples                  160 - 120 = 40 = bananas

40 students picked bananas

Hope this helps :)

Anni [7]

Answer:

Option: D is the correct answer.

   D. x < 397.9 and x > 402.1

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that:

Each bag is advertised as weighing 400 grams.

Also, a bag must weigh within 2.1 grams in order to be accepted.

Hence, for the bag being accepted the weight must be no less than 2.1 gram from 400 gram and should be no more than 2.1 gram from 400 grams.

i.e. the weight of the bag must be such that:

              400-2.1≤ x ≤ 400+2.1

i.e.

             397.9 ≤ x ≤ 402.1

Hence, if the weight of the bag is less than 397.9 grams or is more than 402.1 grams then the bag will be rejected.

i.e. The range for the bag being rejected is: x<397.9 grams and x>402.1 grams.

The table below shows the distance d(t) in meters that an object travels in t seconds:
ArbitrLikvidat [17]
(2,60)(4,240)......t = x and d(t) = y
average rate of change (slope) is (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)
slope = (240 - 60) / (4 - 2) = 180/2 = 90 m/s

It represents the average distance traveled by the object between 2 seconds and 4 seconds
