About 10 million. 400,000 went to North America and the rest went to the west indies and primarily brazil. In the later eighteenth century not many were imported to North America because there were laws prohibiting it due to the fact that many of the slaves had procreated enough slaves for the plantation owners in the South, and because slaves were very expensive.
