A culture of 2.4 × 10^11 bacteria is in a Petri dish A

A culture of 8 × 10^9 bacteria is in Petri dish B

Number of times number of bacteria in Petri dish A is greater than that number in Petri dish B:

\frac{Number of bacteria in Petri dish A}{Number of bacteria in Petri dish B} = \frac{2.4 * 10^11}{8 * 10^9}

Divide 2.4 by 8 to give 0.3

Divide 10^11 by 10^9 to give 10^(11-9) = 10^2

The answer is 0.3 × 10²

Circle A has center of (2, 8), and a radius of 2 and circle B has a center of (5, 4), and a radius of 10. What steps will help s
Viktor [21]

Answer:

1. Translate circle A using the rule (x − 3, y + 4).

4. Dilate circle A by a scale factor of 5

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

All circles are similar figures

step 1

Translate the center of circle A to the center of circle B

we have

A(2,8) -----> B(5,4)

so

The rule of the translation is

(x,y) ----> (x+a,y+b)

(2,8) ----> (2+a,8+b)

2+a=5 ----> a=5-2=3

8+b=4 ---> b=4-8=-4

therefore

The rule of the translation is

(x,y) ----> (x+3,y-4)

step 2

Divide the radius of circle B to the radius of circle A to find out the scale factor

10/2=5

so

Multiply the radius of circle A by the scale factor to obtain the radius of circle B

therefore

Dilate circle A by a scale factor of 5

Darren can get to work in 30 minutes. the speed limit is 35 mph, but there are three stop lights. with the traffic and lights, h
Radda [10]
To solve this problem you must apply the proccedure shown below:
1. You have that Darren can get to work in 30 minutes and with the traffic and lights, he can average 30 mph.Therefore, you must apply the formula for calculate the distance, which is:
d=Vt

Where V is the speed and t
is the time.
2. The time in hours is:
30 min=1/2 h

3. Substituying values, you have:
d=(30 mph)(1/2 h) \\ d=15 miles
The answer is:15 miles
