This gets Starr <em>super</em> upset because Hailey was thinking about the cop instead of how Khalil's family must've felt. It's wrong because One-Fifteen's family didn't have anyone get shot that they love, they only have to worry about the people who are mad at him for shooting Khalil. Starr wants her to see it the right way, feeling bad for Khalil instead of One-Fifteen.

Typically in Latin, the d.o. is between the subject and the verb. Of course, in this case it applies in English as well.
