So, dy/dx= -8x^-1

dy/dx=-8(x^-1)

dy/dx= -8(-1x^-1-1) [ x^n= nx^n-1]

dy/dx= -8(-x^-2)

dy/dx= 8x^-2

dy/dx= 1/8x²
