Area of rhombus = \frac{xy}{2}

where x and y are diagonals.

Given length of one diagonal is 4.5 dm

So, let x= 4.5dm

1 dm = 10 cm

4.5dm= 45cm

area = \frac{xy}{2}

so, 540 = \frac{45y}{2}

y = 24 cm

The two diagonals are x= 45cm and y = 24cm

Since diagonals bisect each other, we get 22.5cm and 12cm

Using right triangle formula

\frac{1}{r^{2} } = \frac{1}{22.5^{2}} + \frac{1}{12^{2}}

\frac{1}{r^{2} } =\frac{12^{2}+22.5^{2}}{22.5^{2}*12^{2}}

r^{2} = \frac{22.5^{2} *12^{2}}{12^{2}+22.5^{2}}

r = 10.588cm

Distance of center to the side = \frac{10.588}{2}  = 5.294 cm

30.7 ft ladder length

Step-by-step explanation:

The ladder makes the hypotenuse of a right triangle

 31 feet   is the opposite leg of 78 degree angle

   sin 78 = opposite / hypotenuse

   sin 78 = 30/ hypot

      30 / (sin 78 ) = hypotenuse = 30.7 ft

Determine whether or not the vector field is conservative. If it is conservative, find a function f such that F = ∇f. (If the ve
djyliett [7]

We're looking for f(x,y,z) such that \nabla f(x,y,z)=\vec F(x,y,z), which requires

\dfrac{\partial f}{\partial x}=xyz^2

\dfrac{\partial f}{\partial y}=x^9yz^2

\dfrac{\partial f}{\partial z}=x^9y^2z

Integrating both sides of the first PDE wrt x gives

f(x,y,z)=\dfrac12x^2yz^2+g(y,z)

Differenting this wrt y gives

\dfrac{\partial f}{\partial y}=x^9yz^2=\dfrac12x^2z^2+\dfrac{\partial g}{\partial y}

\implies\dfrac{\partial g}{\partial y}=\dfrac12x^2z^2(2x^7y-1)

but we're assuming g(y,z) is a function that doesn't depend on x, which is contradicted by this result, and so there is no such f and \vec F is not conservative.
