The family life cycle is defined as successive phases of a system expansion and realignment process to support the entry, exit and development of family members. There is currently no single family model. They build values, rules and models of affectivity, based on their own history, with various realities and different contexts. This diversity in family models interfered in the stages of the family life cycle, but in a general way, we can affirm that the stages are: adulthood, independence, marriage, paternity and aging.
