They are what keep the environment more safe. Without funding to these people crime rates would significantly increase and would cause more danger in the environments such as roads not being properly maintained.

Answer:

Well if we don't have income for police, firemen, prisons, roads, our whole world will end up in disaster. Police protect us. Firemen put out burning buildings. Prisons keep horrible people locked. away. Roads so we can drive wherever we need to or want to.
