s the ball in the box. Then Pedro does the same thing: he removes a ball from the box and memorizes the number written on the ball. What is the probability that John took the same number as Peter?

Hello!

As the ball was replaced, the denominator in our probabilities will be the same. As the each had a 1/6 chance of getting the ball with the certain number, we just square the number as they both had the same probability.

1/6·1/6=1/36

There was a 1/36 chance of them selecting the same ball. This is also equivalent to about a 2.8% chance of this event occurring.

I hope this helps!

Next number in sequence 7 16 8 27 9 ?
djyliett [7]
The next number is 38. The pattern is 7, 16, 8, 27, 9; if you look at the first 4 numbers, you notice that it counts to 7, 8, 9. Then you have 16 and 27, if the pattern continues; the next number is 38.

The equation of a line in slope intercept form is y=mx + b where m is the x intercept
murzikaleks [220]
This question does not really make sense.

How ever I’ll try to respond to this with the best of my ability.

y=mx+b is nothing but slope intercept form.

M is slope value. B is the y-intercept.

There is really no need for x-intercepts in slope intercept form.

Hope this helps. :)

Determine whether each set of data can be modeled by an exponential function. If so, find the exponential
masya89 [10]

Answer: The data cannot be modeled by an exponential function because the data is for a linear function (as there is a constant increase in f(x) each time x increases by 1)
