4 1/2 that's the answer

Divide 45 by 10 and once you do that you should see that the answer is 4 with a remainder of 5. The remainder will go on top of a fraction (as the numerator) and 10 will remain as the denominator. The number 4 will be the whole number.

So 45/10 as a mixed number is 4 5/10. But 5/10 can be reduced to 1/2 (if you divide the numerator and the denominator by 2). The simplified answer would be 4 1/2.

whether the distribution of the mean of a large number of independent, identically distributed variables. true or false
san4es73 [151]

Answer:

The statement is false

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

See comment for complete statement

Required

Is the statement true or false

From central limit theorem, we understand that a distribution is approximately normal if the distribution takes a sample considered to be large enough from the population.

Also, the mean and the standard deviation are known.

However, the given statement implies that the distribution will be normal depending on an underlying distribution; this is false.

Lucy rolls 2 fair dice and adds the results from each. Work out the probability of getting a total that is a multiple of 5
Sergio039 [100]

Answer:

(1,4) ( 4,1)  (2,3) (3,2)

Step-by-step explanation:

Multiples of 5  =  5  and 10

Ways to roll a 5  =  (1,4) ( 4,1)  (2,3) (3,2)

Ways to roll  a 10   =  (5,5) (4,6) (6,4)

We have  7  possible outcomes for a multiple of 5...and there are   36  possible outcomes in total

So  P (multiple of 5)    = 7 / 36
