The rates of game animals are regulated through the licensing of the game farmer. Only a licensed game farmer is supposed to operate a game farm. In order to keep the game, the game farmer must ear tag the animals to  keep a count of the number of animals. All the ear tags must be approved by a veterinarian and must have a unique identification number or code. Also a licensed game farmer is required to prevent the escape of game from the farm and also ensure their safety from other animals and poachers.
