Remember Rome at the time technically ruled the world and Egypt was very powerful at the time as well. Cleopatra went to see Julius Caesar probably for only to get her brother, one of the Ptomelys’ (sorry if wrong spelling) out of the throne, and Julius accepted not only for the power he would have of joining the most powerful dynasties together but for her good looks as well. At the end Cleopatra and Caesar set up a war and cleopatra’s little brother died, cleopatras sister was incarcerated and then I believed was executed. Hope it helps! :D
