The sequence of processes that is carried out by the structure labelled X during translation is combining with an amino acid and then binding to a codon. In the process of translation, messenger RNA (mRNA) is decoded in a ribosome, outside the nucleus, to produce a specific amino acid chain, or polypeptide. The polypeptide later folds into an active protein and performs its functions in the cell.
From the dentition, the animal is most likely an omnivore. Carnivores have large and sharp canines for tearing of flesh while most herbivores lack canines altogether.
