Answer:

D. Thermal expansion

Explanation:

MECHANICAL WEATHERING

can be defined as the gradual disintegration of rock into smaller particles which later turn into soil. when mechanical weathering occurs, it doesn't change the chemical composition of the rock. mechanical weathering are caused by abrasion by ice water, thermal expansion, root of trees growing on the rock.

THERMAL EXPANSION

This is a mechanical process of weathering. during the day when there is high temperature and hits the rock surface, the rock absorbs heat expands . at night when the temperature drops the rock contrast. Repeated action of expansion and contraction results in gradual breakdown of rock to form soil.

Ede4ka [16]

Complete question:

Thinking creatively about evolutionary mechanisms, identify at least

two schemes that could generate allelic polymorphism in a population except natural selection that favors heterozygotes.

Select the two correct answers.

-inbreeding among individuals in the population

-purifying selection against mutational variants of alleles in the population

-continuous migration of individuals with new alleles into the population

-mutations that do not severely affect viability and reproductivity

-genetic drift of alleles common in the population

-events leading to genetic bottleneck effect

Answer:

The two events that might favor heterozygotes among the options are

 • The Continuous migration of individuals with new alleles into the population
 • Mutations that do not severely affect viability and reproductivity. These might favor heterozygous frequencies.

Explanation:

Due to technical problems, you will find the complete explanation in the attached files.

What evidence at the molecular level supports the theory of evolution
brilliants [131]

Answer:

Fossil Evidence and Structural evidence proves to support the theory of evolution because fossil evidence shows how animals looked like a few hundreds to thousands of years ago, and structural evidence shows how an animal can change from a land creature to a sea creator such as a whale starting from Indohyus to becoming a whale as it is now.
