The width of deck= x = 7 feet when perimeter is 48 feet and length is 17 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

Let width of rectangle = x

Let length of rectangle =3+2x

Perimeter of Rectangle = 48 feet

Width of rectangle = ?

The formula of perimeter is:

perimeter= 2(L+W)

Putting values of perimeter, length and width

perimeter=2(L+W)\\48=2(3+2x+x)\\48=2(3+3x)\\48=6+6x\\6x=48-6\\6x=42\\x=\frac{42}{6}\\x=7

So, the width of deck= x = 7

The length will be= 3+2x = 3+2(7) = 3+14 = 17

A restaurant has a 3/4 pan of lasagna.if the cost is 20 dollars per 1/3 of a pan ,how much for the 3/4?
kumpel [21]

Answer:

3/4 pan of lasagna costs $45.

Step-by-step explanation:

The cost of 1/ 3 pan of lasagna = $20

The amount of lasagna available in restaurant = 3/4 pan

Now cost of 1/3 pan lasagna = $20

So, the weight of 1 full pan =3 \times  {\textrm{The cost of }}(\frac{1}{3}) {\textrm{pan of lasagna}}

=   3 x$ 20 = $60

⇒ 1 complete pan costs $60

So, 3/4 pan costs \frac{3}{4}  \times 60 = 45

Hence, 3/4 pan of lasagna costs $45.
