Yes, that was a random sample because it was kids from all different grade levels and it was not planned.
This question is fair because Mr.Kent is not really pressuring and giving his input on what he thinks it should be.

Hijg is a rectangle. Why is triangle hgi congruent to triangle jig ? Explain your reasoning.
yanalaym [24]
HGI is congruent to JIG due to the Side-Side-Side congruence theorem.

This theorem states that if the three sides of one triangle are congruent to the three sides of another triangle, the triangles must be congruent.

In order to create these triangles, we must draw a diagonal in this triangle.  This will be a shared side between both triangles.

A rectangle's opposite sides are congruent; this means the top and left sides, which are part of one triangle, will be congruent to the bottom and right sides, which are part of the other triangle.

This gives us all 3 sides of both triangles congruent, and therefore the congruence theorem applies.

Find the height of a cylinder that has a radius of 5 m and a volume of 450 mº.
jekas [21]

The height of cylinder is 5.73 meters.

Further explanation:

Given

Volume\ of\ cylinder=V=450\ m^3\\Radius=r=5\ m

The formula for calculating volume of cylinder is:

V=\pi r^2h

Putting the values of volume, radius and pi

450=3.14*(5)*h\\450=3.14*25*h\\450=78.5*h\\h=\frac{450}{78.5}\\h=5.73\ meters

The height of cylinder is 5.73 meters.

Which is a better deal per ounce? 24 ounces for $2. 99 or 36 ounces for $4. 99?
Shkiper50 [21]

Answer:

24 for 2.99

Step-by-step explanation:

2.99/24 = $0.1245 per ounce
4.99/36  = $0.1386 per ounce

So the 36 cost more per ounce.

Graph the function represented in the table on the coordinate plane.
Lena [83]

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the co-ordinates,

x : -2, -1, 0, 1, 2

y : 8, 5, 2, -1, -4

According to the graph, we see that this function represents a straight line.

The general form of the straight line is y = mx + c, where m is the slope and c is the y-intercept.

So, taking any two points we will find the equation of the straight line.

Consider, (0,2) and (1, -1). Now, slope is given by,

m = \frac{-1-2}{1-0}

i.e. m = -3

Now, we will find the y-intercept of this equation using (0,2) and m = -3,

i.e. y = -3x + c

i.e. 2 = c

Hence, the equation of the straight line is y = -3x + 2.
