What changes does Thornton Wilder make in the set for the opening of Act ll
elena55 [62]

Answer:

The most obvious differences are the lack of much scenery or many props and the role of the stage manager as one who talks to the audience. We'll also see, as we progress, the lack of a real "plot" since the play is one simply describing ordinary life.

Select the denotation of the word lurid.

shocking
invisible
soothing
attentive
Leno4ka [110]

The denotation of a word is its dictionary definition.

"Lurid" means "vivid," but in an unpleasant way.

Something soothing has a calming effect; this is essentially the opposite of lurid. Invisible means literally "not visible" - more to do with senses than having a vividly unpleasant feeling. To be attentive is to be alert or aware, which does not fit our definition above. That leaves shocking, which is a feeling of unwelcome surprise or dismay; this is correct.

Answer:

Shocking
