We can split it into 3 parts, the two rectangles in the top and bottom the the square in the center. since the rectangles ate same, we can just multiply one by 2 later on.
so the rectangles are 8x3x2, which is 48. and now add the area of the square, which is 2x2, and u get 4
so the total area is 48 + 4 which makes A, 52
