Regarding Africa's continent, European nations fail to consider that the Europe's arbitrary post-colonial borders left Africans bunched into countries that don't represent their heritage, a problem that is still present at this days. The nations of the african continent are largely defined not by its peoples heritage but by the follies of European colonialism.

Match each outcome with a weakness of the Articles of Confederation.
Masteriza [31]

Answer:

Explanation:

1. Congress was not given any power to tax the people

No taxes=no money to run the country

2. Congress had no power to enforce its own laws in the states

No enforcement=people in various states doing what they want

3. Congress could not make states follow trade agreements with other nations

Bad trading relations with other counties = no international trade

4. Congress could not regulate trade between the states.

High trading taxes between states = difficulty trading goods = slow business = lost jobs

5. Citizens in states thought their property rights were being violated

Violated property rights = need for national government to check the states

6. There was no national court system

No national court system = different systems by state = confusion in the justice system Interstate issues would have no courts to go to on the federal level No means of checking the laws of the legislature

7. There was no executive branch for the central government

This means there was no President or party responsible for enforcing laws; no authority behind the laws There was no figure head for the government No means of checking the policies created by the legislature (what happens when all power is in one branch of government?)

8. It required a unanimous vote to make changes to the Articles

This made it very difficult to make any changes to the Articles

9. Many farmers lost their farms and homes; some were even put in prison As a result, local farmers, led by Daniel Shays decided to rebel by shutting down the courts using force - they even raided a federal arsenal to take weapons for their rebellion

The purpose of this meeting was "for the sole and express purpose of revising the Articles of Confederation"...but they ended up creating a new U.S. Constitution.

Which best describes how Jefferson organizes his argument in the body of the Declaration of Independence?
ikadub [295]

Answer:

By listing the ways in which the King of England has oppressed the colonists

Explanation:

I believe that this is the answer because throughout the declaration, Jefferson lists over 20 ways the King has abused his power over the colonists, and he further uses this to justify why Britian should no longer rule the colonists.

What kind of government would an anarchist support
vfiekz [6]

Answer:

A lawlessness society and government

Explanation:

An Anarchist is someone who does not obey law and order, who disregards social norms and rules of established authority. An Anarchist may be described as someone who rejects the laid down laws and order of a given society. An Anarchist does not believe in the society being regularized by laws and order. Anarchists are those against political authority, people capable of creating anarchy in a society, reject all forms of hierarchical control by the authority. Anarchy is therefore a state constituted without laws and order, rules and social norms, a society without ruler. A state of Anarchy is a lawless society where there is no government, no constitution, lay down laws and orders are not complied with, no morality whatsoever, people who commit crime and walk freely in the society and go unpunished, that is, where there is no justice in the society, people’s fundamental rights are violated, people’s property attacked.

Pierre Joseph Proudhon, a French political writer and socialist was said to be the first person to willingly call himself an anarchist.

The kind of government an Anarchist will support is that government without constitution, law and order, that government that allows people to violate the laid down rules and social norms, that allows people to go against the political authority, government that allows self-governing of people and society consensus, that is, allows people to do what they want without questioning by the government, that guarantees individual’s right of liberty, a government that allows political power and resources to be shared equally by all in a given society.
