He would have to eat 6 strawberries, you take the number of calories total (56) and subtract the Plum's calories (32) leaving 24 calories left, then you divide 24 by the total amout of calories the strawberries are (4) and get 6.

What is an equation of the line that passes through the point (4,-3)(4,−3) and is perpendicular to the line 4x+y=34x+y=3?
zlopas [31]

Step-by-step explanation:

Perpendicular slopes must be opposite reciprocals of each other:  m1 * m2 = –1

4x+ y= 3

y= -4x + 3

slope = -4

the new slope = 1/4

the equation formula y= mx+b

m = new slope

y = (x/4) + b

From the point given (4,-3)

y = -3. x = 4

-3 = 1 + b

b = -4

the equation =

y =  \frac{1}{4} x - 4

Please answer the following questions: <br><br> 1. 1/2*8=<br> 2. 1/4*4=<br> 3. 1/3*6=
yan [13]
Hey there!

When we multiply fractions and whole numbers, we simply take that whole number and put it over them, and just multiply across. That gives us:

\frac{1}{2}x*8 = \frac{8}{2} = 4

Notice how it's four, because when we have a fraction, we divide. 8 divided by 2 equals four. Next:

\frac{1}{4} *4 = \frac{4}{4} = 1

4/4 is equal to 1 because 4 divided by 4 is one. 4 goes into 4 once. Next, we have:

\frac{1}{3}*6 = \frac{6}{3} = 2

That's because 6/3 = 2.

Hope this helps!

Mike just hopped on the edge of a merry-go-round. What are his linear and angular speeds if the diameter of the merry-go-round i
dsp73

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

The diameter of the merry-go-round, d = 14 feet

Time taken, t = 6 seconds

Radius, r = 7 feet

The linear speed of the merry-go-round is given by :

v=\dfrac{2\pi r}{t}\\\\v=\dfrac{2\pi \times 7}{6}\\\\=7.33\ m/s

Also,

v=r\omega

Where

\omega is the angular speed

So,

\omega=\dfrac{v}{r}\\\\\omega=\dfrac{7.33}{7}\\\\=1.04\ rad/s

Hence, his linear and angular speeds are 7.33 m/s and 1.04 rad/s.

I need help to these questions. Convert these fractions to a decimal 7/8 , 4 3/8. Thanks
ehidna [41]
Simple...

you have: \frac{7}{8} and 4 \frac{3}{8}

Now, the first one is easy just divide it...

\frac{7}{8} =0.875

Now....

4 \frac{3}{8}    needs to be converted...

Multiply the whole number*denominator...

4*8=32

Now add the numerator....

32+3=35

Now use the original denominator...

\frac{35}{8}

Now divide...

\frac{35}{8}=4.375&#10;

Thus, your answer.
