Answer: C) nonviolent resistance

One of the most significant characteristics of Martin Luther King's Jr.'s civil rights movement is the fact that the resistance he advocated was nonviolent. This emphasized the fact that Black people did not want to disrupt society or live outside the law. Instead, they wanted the law to represent them. This theme is expressed in this passage by the sentence: "We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence."

The last lines of 'I'm Explaining a Few Things" are very famous.
liubo4ka [24]

Answer:

The Spanish version is more effective.

Explanation:

Even though both versions are beautiful, in the translated one some figures of speech are lost, for example, in "venid a ver" there is an ALLITERATION that has a sound effect (the repetition of letter v) in the original language that is not shown in the English version.

Besides, "venid a ver" would be more effective if translated as 'come to see' (literal translation) instead of 'come and see'.

Read the excerpt from Part 2 of The Odyssey. We cried aloud, lifting our hands to Zeus, powerless, looking on at this, appalled;
Crank

The correct answer is the last one, the cyclops is compared to a mast because of his size. The comparison means that even laid down the cyclops standed out among his sheep, like a mast does at sea. As for the first two options, the cyclops is not compared to Zeus in any moment.

If you want to be a friend of any of these chracaters in jane eyre who would be your choice and why
Kisachek [45]

If one wants to make a friend of any of the symbols in Jane Eyre, the character would be Jane Eyre. The explanation is because Jane Eyre is intelligent, honest and maintains her principle of justice.

What is Jane Eyre famous for?

Jane Eyre is a Bildungsroman which follows the adventures of its eponymous heroine, including her transition to adulthood and her passion for Mr Rochester, the brooding master of Thornfield Hall.

How would you describe Jane Eyre?

From the start of the novel, Brontë portrays Jane as a strong-willed, emotional and outspoken young girl. Jane regularly speaks out against the harsh treatment of her cousin, John and her aunt, Mrs Reed. This results in Jane becoming remote and alienated in the house, as she takes her punishments alone.

Upon completing The Tragedy of Macbeth, Act V, write a brief evaluation of Macbeth as a typical tragic hero. Do you
stepladder [879]

Answer:

Throughout the play, Macbeth would be considered a typical tragic hero. He is initially the Thane of Glamis and a noble warrior, who valiantly serves King Duncan. Following his brave exploits in battle, Macbeth earns the title, "Thane of Cawdor," which was prophesied by the witches. Macbeth is misguided by the Three Witches and encouraged to commit regicide by his wife. The audience initially sympathizes with Macbeth because he is persuaded by his malevolent, ambitious wife to murder King Duncan. Macbeth is quickly manipulated by his wife after he initially rejects the thought of murdering King Duncan. Macbeth's immediate feelings of guilt following his crime also reveal his conscience. Macbeth then begins to hallucinate and see his friend's ghost after Banquo is assassinated. Similar to many tragic heroes, Macbeth also has a tragic flaw, in his case, unchecked ambition. In every aspect, Macbeth meets the criteria of a typical tragic hero. In my opinion, Macbeth is a noble individual with one tragic flaw. Unfortunately, he is manipulated by his wife into murdering King Duncan.
