Why were the punishment so extreme during the Spanish inquisition

The Inquisition did not intend to use religion as a means of controlling the people, but rather wished the Jewish and Muslim religions out of the domain of their territories and this was the means the Inquisition used to reach them.

All the punishment was so extreme during the Spanish inquisition because it was a form of maintenance of the power by his king Ferdinand II of Aragon.

Yuliya22 [10]

Answer: C is the correct answer "It must depend on the executive for enforcement of its decisions."

Explanation:

Alexander Hamilton argued that the Judicial system was the weakest in all of the government branches. He states several times that the Judicial system can't do anything without permission from the Executive branch. However, if there were no Executive branch, the Judicial would be stronger than the Legislative branch. The Executive branch enforces all the decisions even if the Judiciary has another opinion of the issue.
