Answer: c. The myosin would not be able to let go of the actin

Explanation:

Muscles consists of two proteins called actin and myosin and responsible for muscle contraction.

Myosin is ATP dependant and when ATP binds to it, it is able to release the actin.

This will allow the actin and myosin to seperate from each other thus leading to muscle contraction

stira [4]

Suppose that part of an amino acid sequence of a protein changed from tyrosine-proline-glycine-alanine to tyrosine-histidine-glycine-alanine. This change was most likely caused by a point mutation called a substitution.

Explanation:

Any protein is synthesized by joining a number of amino acids together. This amino acid is placed based on the sequences of the DNA , for every 3 sequence there is an amino acid that is synthesized and therefore it is called as a triplet codon, since there may be many sequence for a single amino acid we call it as degenerate codon.

Hemophilia is an X-linked recessive condition in which blood does not clot properly. Queen Victoria of England had one allele fo
kondaur [170]

Answer:

Because hemophilia is an X-linked recessive condition.

Explanation:

As the problem states, hemophilia is an X-linked recessive condition.

 • Meaning that in Queen Victoria's female descendants (coded XX) which inherited the Queen's one allele, for hemophilia to appear in them it would be necessary to inherit another hemophillia-carrying allele from the father.
 • The Queen's male descendants (coded XY) would always manifest hemophilia if they inherited the Queen's hemophilia allele, as they possesed only one X gene.

How are scientists able to use fossils of extinct organisms as evidence?
nikdorinn [45]

The answer is; C

Fossil fuels are the remains of an organism that lived in the past and have been preserved or their impression has been preserved. Fossils are studied to identify the difference (genetic and phenotypic) between past and future related organism and are carbon dated to determine the time in which the organisms existed. The study of fossils is called paleontology.
