Indeed "development which meets the needs of the current generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs" is termed as a sustainable development as stated by brundtland because the sole aim of sustainable development is to meet the needs of today and that of tomorrow (future), if development compromises the the need of future could not be considers sustainable.
