This book is called “The Monster”, written by Walter Dean Myers. This story is about a young man who was on trial for allegedly taking part in a robbery of a drugstore. The protagonist , Steve Harmon, is being accused of standing on the look-out for the two other robbers. Steve wants to become a filmmaker and is in the film club at high school, where Mr. Sawicki is the teacher. Mr Sawicki is very fond of Steve and testifies in his favor.
