How to write an intro: You must write about your topic! Write about what you will talk about.

How to write a body: Now, write about what backs up your intro, use supporting details.

Ex: My topic is that kids get too much homework.

Supporting detail: Kids get more exhausted because of having too much homework.

I wrote and intro and conclusion for you! :-)

Topic: What does it mean to be an American?

Intro: People tend to think being American is being is just being free, when in reality, it is way more than that. We are not just born free, we have to fight for freedom. Being an American means you fight for who you are, you write your own story, you define yourself.

Conclusion: Being an American takes courage, sacrifice, and willingness. You fight for what you want and you don't let anyone define you, only you can, only then can you truly be free.

Answer:

Write about your experiences.

Explanation:

Unless you aren't American, but I imagine this is for a class taught in the US. What do you think it means to be an American? For a lot of people it's about the freedom of expression and to do anything they could think of (as long as it's legal, that is) without being mandated by the government. There's a reason it's called the land of the free, after all.

Also, bring in topics like the American Dream. How has our nation's dream differed and how has it shaped us into the country it is today?

What is the point of view of this passage? How does this point of view help create suspense for the reader?
Anvisha [2.4K]
The point of view of this passage is 3rd person point of view. It creates suspense for the reader because the author is telling the story. The author is using vivid imagery to give details and leave you wondering what is gonna happen next and keep you intrigued in the story.

Elie Wiesel, a Holocaust survivor and the 1986 Nobel Peace Prize stands in front of a room full of important government people; he wants his audience to recognize that being indifferent is not the same as being innocent – indifference, “after all, is more dangerous than anger or hatred”.

He forces the listeners to wonder which kind of people they are. To him, during the Holocaust, people fit into one of “three simple categories: the killers, the victims, and the bystanders” and he forces the bystanders to decide whether or not to stay indifferent to the actual situation. He takes the time to list various actual civil wars and humanitarian crises (line 17 of his speech) and contrast them with WWII.

He makes sure that his audience realise what is at stake “Indifference, then, is not only a sin, it is a punishment” [for mankind]. He wants the audience to be really affected by what they hear – so he talks to them in their condition of human being: “Is it necessary at times to practice [indifference] simply to … enjoy a fine meal and a glass of wine”. And he also talks to them as government people with their duty and the power they have over the actual conflicts. He wants them to compare themselves with their predecessors during WWII: “We believed that the leaders of the free world did not know what was going on … And now we knew, we learned, we discovered that the Pentagon knew, the State Department knew.”

Wiesel finishes his speech by expressing hope for the new millennium. We believed he addresses these final words to those who will refuse to stay indifferent. But it seems that Wiesel would count them in the minority: “Some of them -- so many of them -- could be saved.” probably refers to this minority.

Write a paragraph explaining how language shapes our culture. What are some ways you see language changing around you? Explain w
melamori03 [73]

The language is a major part of our culture . the world has many languages. And you can say they are almost different in different regions. Let me give you an example there are different methods of how a people think. As if when a Spanish is thinking she makes the sound like ... eh... well the same sound if made before the British people then they take it is a bad culturee.. that is opening your mouth before ssomeone.

So its like they are habituated to their own language. Even one culture's usual thing can be other cultures bad side.

The ways for which the languages are changing ...

One of the most important reason is the use of Social media or Chatting.

When you are chatting you are using a different language. And the people are now getting habituated in changing the words spelling pronunciationa nd much more. New words are added to the dictionary.

If the language I spoke disappeared then

Maybe the world would seem like another planet to me.

Every people would think of me as a uncultured person.

But you can also write,

The language is already disappearing. As the people are mixing so many languages together. The 5-7 sentences am posting as attachment. Hope that helps.
