Real images are those that present an element that exists in the real world. On the other hand, make-believe images are those that present something that is not real or that have unreal elements.

Based on this, we can classify the images presented in the figure below as follows:

  1. It is intended to educate and is a real image.
  2. It is intended to entertain and is a make-believe image.
  3. It is intended to entertain and is a make-believe image.
  4. It is intended to entertain and is a make-believe image.
  5. It is intended to persuade and is a real image.

In this regard, we can informally say that:

  • The images that have the purpose of educating, intend to teach something.
  • Images that are intended to persuade are intended to influence.
  • Images that are intended to entertain are intended to be fun.

The image shown below was taken from a question exactly like yours.

Read the excerpt from "Raymond's Run." So they just stand there and Gretchen shifts from one leg to the other and so do they. Th
Blababa [14]

Based on this excerpt the reader can conclude that the two girls are not friends. They seem to be in conflict with each other. Gretchen's body language, "hand on her hips", and her actions, "looking me up and down", show that Gretchen is sizing up her opponent. However, Gretchen also seems a little hesitant to engage the speaker because she does not say anything. The speaker also does not engage with Gretchen, instead letting Gretchen circle around her. There does not seem to be hatred between the girls, but they certainly are not warm and fuzzy.
