10 miles - 3 miles = 7 miles left.

1 hour 20 minutes - 24.7 minutes= 80 minutes - 24.7 minutes
                                                        = 55.3 minutes left

Therefore, you have 55.3 minutes left to run 7 miles. But since you want to finish in LESS than 1 hour and 20 minutes, subtract the .3.

So:

<u>7 miles </u>= <u>55 minutes</u>
1 mile        x minutes

x minutes= 55 x 1 ÷ 7 miles
x minutes = 7.85
x minutes = ~ 8 minutes

Therefore you have to run every mile in ~ 8 minutes.

Hope this helps!

A cone-shaped dispenser is filled with cereal. The cone has a radius of 1.5 inches and a height of 5 inches. Which measurement i
Svetach [21]

Answer:

Option B. 11.78\ in^{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The volume of a cone is equal to

V=\frac{1}{3} \pi r^{2}h

we have

r=1.5\ in

h=5\ in

substitute

V=\frac{1}{3} \pi (1.5)^{2}(5)

V=3.75\pi\ in^{3}

assume

\pi =3.14

V=3.75(3.14)=11.78\ in^{3}

Solve the system and give your answer as a coordinate point in the form (k, c) k+c=100 51k+11c=2500
Aleks [24]

Answer:

k = 35, c = 65

Step-by-step explanation:

Solve the following system:

{c + k = 100 | (equation 1)

{11 c + 51 k = 2500 | (equation 2)

Swap equation 1 with equation 2:

{11 c + 51 k = 2500 | (equation 1)

{c + k = 100 | (equation 2)

Subtract 1/11 × (equation 1) from equation 2:

{11 c + 51 k = 2500 | (equation 1)

{0 c - (40 k)/11 = -1400/11 | (equation 2)

Multiply equation 2 by -11/40:

{11 c + 51 k = 2500 | (equation 1)

{0 c+k = 35 | (equation 2)

Subtract 51 × (equation 2) from equation 1:

{11 c+0 k = 715 | (equation 1)

{0 c+k = 35 | (equation 2)

Divide equation 1 by 11:

{c+0 k = 65 | (equation 1)

{0 c+k = 35 | (equation 2)

Collect results:

Answer: {c = 65 , k = 35
