And the continuance of their parents’ rage,
Deffense [45]

The purpose of this excerpt is that  It speaks about the setting of the play.

Explanation:

The three liens are extremely economical at setting up the situation for the rest of the play here. The lines first convey that the parents are enraged and that the children are at fault. It also shows that they cannot do anything about it.

The  last line deftly tells the audience that they are going to be stuck in traffic for 2 hours effectively making them struck in the same situation for the duration.

This becomes the setting of the play by introducing the main conflict and the time frame of it.

After learning of the Nazis horrific treatment of the Jews ,The allies: A)Did little in response B)Began accepting most refugees
11111nata11111 [884]

Answer:

a.

Explanation:

It is hard to answer with so little context, however during the war, when the allies found out about concentration camps- they did not know the extent of it. Their primary concern was to defeat Hitler's regime to stop the spread of Nazi/ totalitarian sentiments. When they began their invasion into Germany, the allies, especially the soviets, began liberating the camps. What they found horrified them beyond belief. They did not realize the horrendous extent of Hitler's torture. They then realized how horrible those camps truly were.

But like I said, their primary goal during the war was not to liberate the camps. It was to defeat Hitler.
