I believe by intersect, you mean perpendicular. Also, skew lines can be on parallel planes and still intersect. If they intersected, then the degrees must be 90
The distributive properties of addition and subtraction can be used to rewrite expressions for a variety of purposes. In each case, you are distributing the outside multiplier to each number in the parentheses, so that multiplication occurs with each number before addition or subtraction occurs.
Slope = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
slope = (1-5)/(2-4)
slope = -4/-2
slope = 2
The equation would be y = -5/2x - 14. Since the slope and a coordinate pair was given, I used point slope form to figure out the equation.
