Helps maintain genetic variability in a population

Sefl incompatibility is a mechanisms in plants that help in preventing inbreeding and allows outcrossing. This is controlled genetically by one or more multi allelic loci and usually relies on the series of complex cellular process and interaction between pollen and the pistil. There are various types of self incompatibility used by angiosperm. In this process autogamy is prevented and allogamy is produced.

The process of translation in prokaryotes can occur faster than in eukaryotes because
Nimfa-mama [501]

Answer:

Transcription and translation occur simultaneously in prokaryotes.

Explanation:

Prokaryotes lack membrane-bound organelles and therefore, do not have a nucleus. Transcription and translation occur in the cytoplasm. As soon as the required length of mRNA is being formed, ribosomes join it and start the process of translation. Prokaryotic genes lack introns. The primary transcript formed by transcription in prokaryotes does not undergo splicing.

On the other hand, the process of transcription occurs in the nucleus in eukaryotes while translation occurs in the cytoplasm. The primary transcript formed by transcription in eukaryotes undergoes modifications to remove introns and to add a poly-A tail and 5' cap. Post-transcriptional modifications and spatial separation of two processes in eukaryotes result in slower translation than prokaryotes.

What affects the shape of molecule
GarryVolchara [31]

The shape of a molecule is affected by the arrangement of electrons, but does not describe that arrangement. The “shape” of a molecule is how the outside atoms are arranged around the central atom. The lone pairs of electrons affect this arrangement, but are not part of it.
