If you are INVOLVED in the accident, & you do not stop, it is commonly known as a 'hit-and-run', and it will give you a mark, as well as you having a chance of your DL suspended.
Failure in stopping at the scene of a collision can result in an arrest warrant for you, as you could be convinced of hit and run, even if there are no injuries.
Making a police report later also does not work, since the police is not going to have the chance to inspect the scene, your report may not be factually correct, etc.
