The required polynomial is:-4x^2-2x+15

Step-by-step explanation:

Let P be the polynomial that has to be found

Given

One polynomial = 5x^2-3x-9

Sum of both polynomials = x^2-5x+6

So,

(5x^2-3x-9) + P = x^2-5x+6\\P = x^2-5x+6 - (5x^2-3x-9)\\P = x^2-5x+6-5x^2+3x+9\\P = x^2-5x^2-5x+3x+6+9\\P = -4x^2-2x+15

Hence,

The required polynomial is:-4x^2-2x+15

Dakota has four tents kilogram of clay he divided the clay to make eight equal size pots how many grams of clay are in each pot
sukhopar [10]
Answer:
There are 2.22 grams of clay are in each pot.
Step-by-step explanation:
Given:
Dakota has 4/10 kg of clay. He divides the clay to make 888 equal-sized pots.
Now, to find the number of grams of clay are in each pot.
Dakota has clay =
So, by using conversion factor we convert it into grams:

Quantity of clay he has = 400 grams.
Number of equal-sized pots to make = 888.
Now, to get the quantity of grams of clay are in each pot we divide number of equal-sized pots to make by quantity of clay he has:
Therefore, there are 2.22 grams of clay are in each pot.

All polynomials have at least one maximum.
O A. True
O B. False
Advocard [28]

Answer: B) False

A counter-example would be the cubic polynomial y = x^3 which doesn't have a max or a min. The graph stretches forever in both directions (up and down) indicating that the range is the set of all real numbers.

Consider the equations 4(x-3)=16 and 4x-3=16 do they have the same solution? Why or why not ?
Sladkaya [172]

Answer: Both the equations when solved have different answers, the solutions for both the equation are given below. In the the first equation 4 (x-3)=16 , 4 is multiplied with both the terms in the bracket. Whereas, in the second equation 4x- 2 = 16 there is no variable to multiply with the LHS equation

Solution:

4 (x-3)=16

4x - 12 = 16

4x = 16 + 12

4x = 28

x = 7

4x - 3 = 16

4x = 16 + 3

4x = 19

x = 19/4

x = 4.75

How would you set up this problem to find the height of the sail using reciprocal functions?
AVprozaik [17]

Remark

I'm not sure I know what you mean, but I will answer trying to interpret it so it fits the description of the question.

Step One: Set up the equation. The normal way of solving this would be to use the Cos function.

Cos(theta) = Adjacent / hypotenuse = x/8 Multiply both sides by 8

8*cos(theta) = x Theta = 35

8*cos(35) = x This is about as simple a way as is possible.

6.553 = the height of the sale.

Step Three: try using the reciprocal

1 / cos(35)= hypotenuse / adjacent

1/0.8191 = 8/x cross multiply

x = 0.8191 * 8

x = 6.553
