-1 1/2 _ -1 3/4 which one is greater or less, or equal?
sleet_krkn [62]

Answer:

The answer is -1 1/2 is less than -1 3/4

Step-by-step explanation:

I look at it more as numbers, so for example 1/2 can be simplified into 50, and 3/4 is 75/ 75 would be greater if it was positive. But, with there being a negative 1 in front of the answer, the lowest number closest to 0 is better. :D

X>-3 ; (-4,3) Tell wether this is the solution of the inequality.
IceJOKER [234]
Not sure what you mean by solution since that’s already simplified and inequalities don’t hav coordinate points as solution.
But -4<-3 so that point wouldn’t go into the “shaded area” of that inequality.
Hope this helps

Write the slope-intercept form of the equation of the line described.
yarga [219]
The equation for a line is y=mx+b

m is the slope, so when a line is perpendicular to another line is has a slope which is an opposite reciprocal, so change the -1/2 (the slope of the other line) to 2/1 or just 2

so m=2

now you need to plug in the point they give you for x and y

y=mx+b
4=2(4) + b
simplify
4=8 + b
subtract 8 over
-4 = b

now that you know that slope (m) and the y-intercept (b) you can plug those two numbers into the original equation for the answer

y= 2x -4

spin [16.1K]

8) y intercept is (0, 15) or 15

   slope is 10 (the y intercept represents how much it would cost to open an online gaming account and the slope represents how much each game costs after you open an online gaming account, including the $15 fee to open the account)

9) y=10x+15

10) you can look at the graph where it says number of games and go to 6 and go up until you reach the line and look at the side where it says cost (dollars) and then you will see that 6 games cost $75
