Bezzdna [24]

Answer:

What is the direct and indirect object in this sentence?

The direct object is the thing that the subject acts upon, so in that last sentence, “cereal” is the direct object; it's the thing Jake ate. An indirect object is an optional part of a sentence; it's the recipient of an action.

Odd one out
g100num [7]

Answer:

1. Rhino

2. Draw

3. Island

4. Keep

5. Tidy

Explanation:

1. All the words started with an H except for 'Rhino'

2. Draw is a verb. 'Horse', 'Farmer', and 'Launch' are not verbs. (I'm saying this assuming that the 'launch' here refers to an open motorboat.)

3. All the words started with an S except for 'Island'

4. All the words started with a 'kn' except for 'Keep'

5. All the words rhymed with each other, except for 'Tidy'

(I'm not completely sure about question 2 but i hope this helps)

Neighborhood gossip has portrayed Boo Radley as a particular way; Atticus and Miss Maudie have a different perspective. What are
Tju [1.3M]

Two residents of the town—Miss Maudie and Atticus—view Boo Radley as a person rather than a monster.

Atticus does not see Boo Radley as some kind of monster, like Miss Maudie, and he does not accept any of the rumors either. Although he claims that what Boo does may seem strange to children, he does not find it strange.

Atticus chastises the kids for torturing the man and orders them to respect his privacy and treat him like a normal person. Miss Maudie unmistakably attributes Boo's isolation and retreat from society to Mr. Radley. As a result, Scout loses faith in the sermon gospel and starts to agree with Miss Maudie and Atticus.
